Hero Collection

Your Hero Collection is made up of hero and special unit cards. You can deploy these cards throughout a game to give you a strategic advantage against the zombies. The zombies have strength in numbers, but you can call upon the special abilities of your heroes to outwit and out-maneouvre the zombies. You can expand your Hero Collection by visiting the Bazaar or when Volunteers approach you.

Volunteers

From time to time, Heroes will emerge when you take over a settlement and offer to join you. When this happens, you do not need to pay the Gold cost to deploy the Hero. Instead, you pay 1 Hero Coin to deploy the Hero immediately and also to add it to your Collection to use in future games. This is a great way to expand your Collection and to deploy Heroes when you are short on Gold.

Heroes in The Bazaar

During a game, you might find that you want to have immediate access to a Hero of a specific race. You might be in a dire situation and need urgent reinforcements or you might not have any more cards in your deck, or cards of the type that you need. Whatever the reason, you can head to The Tavern to draw new cards.
